I have been really looking forward to this collection ever since I saw the press release. Color Club generously sent the collection to me which arrived on Friday afternoon, only an hour before I left for work! I jumped right into the swatching when I got home. This is a 14-piece collection which is in 2 separate sets, Indulgence and Diamonds.
Pretty In Platinum, 2 coats with Seche Vite. A pretty metallic silvery greyish white. You can see some brush strokes but the nice white shimmer hides it mostly.
My bottle had an "O" in the corner I've never seen that before so I just had to share lol.
Wild Orchid, 2 coats no topcoat. This is a grey with a hint of maybe dusty lavender. It has a really great shimmer to it as well.
Positively Posh, 3 coats no topcoat. This was a little watery for me so I needed 3 coats for full opacity. I can never have too many mushroom taupes! I thought for sure I would have a dupe in my melmer but I don't think I do. Check it out (click to enlarge):
I didn't get a chance to swatch these to compare, but you can see that there is no dupe, not even close. Hmm maybe I need more browns!
Soft As Cashmere, 3 coats no topcoat. This too was watery hence the 3 coats but totally worth it! No wonder greige is so in right now. A very pale greyed out brown. Reminds me of cream of mushroom soup.
Nothing But Truffle, 2 coats no topcoat. This is a blackened base with copper shimmer. If you look closely you can see other colors twinkling, stunning!
A better bottle shot for the shimmer.
Jewel Of A Girl, 2 coats no topcoat. Another vampy shade with rosy purple/burgundy shimmer.
Ready To Royal, 2 coats no topcoat. A dark, rich purple creme. After 1 coat I thought it may be a jelly but the second coat covered it all up.
Diamonds:
De-Luxe-Cious 3 coats with Seche Vite topcoat. A blue-grey shimmer with bits of gold, silver, blue and green glitter. I applied too thinly on my pinky and ring finger so I thought I would make up for it on my middle index but it turned a little crazy and made a lump! Sorry about that.
Ms. Hautie, 3 coats with Seche Vite topcoat. This one is so unique, it's a metallic gunmetal grey with an awesome pink shimmer with a light sprinkling of tiny holographic glitter. The glitter in this one is a bit grainy so a thick topcoat is necessary and you will see brush strokes if you are not careful.
Check out the shimmer! Love this color!
Red Velvet, 3 coats with Seche Vite topcoat. Tiny red glitter in a black jelly base. Actually this base was much blacker than I realized, I noticed this when I swatched my other 3 dupes.
Please enlarge to see in detail. To the naked eye for the most part, these are pretty identical. China Glaze and Milani are both a bit on the watery side, and the Color Club and Eyeko were thicker. Eyeko I think wins just because you need only 2 coats to be opaque. If you have any of the others above, I don't think you need Red Velvet.
Bottle shots.
I was curious what Covered in Diamonds looks like over Red Velvet. Interesting!
Untamed Luxury 3 coats with Seche Vite topcoat. Bright turquoise glitter in teal jelly. I must have taken 20 pictures of this and they all turned out the same. You can see VNL in the picture but in person you cannot. I might have to repost a sun picture but this looks so pretty in person!
Resort To Red, 2 coats no topcoat. This a berry shimmer, it is slightly darker and a little more purple in person. Lovely color.
1 coat of Covered In Diamonds. This glitter is pretty awesome.
Snakeskin, 2 coats no topcoat. Metallic dark grey with a gorgeous golden shimmer. This one shows some brush strokes so apply with care.
Covered In Diamonds 1 coat over Color Club Where's The Soiree? (Black creme) with Seche Vite topcoat. This looks so great over black! The flaky glitter colors really pop. The glitter itself is very soft and flexible, and as long as you apply carefully it won't make a huge mess. The soft glitter makes it easier to adjust the glitter if you need to.
A lot of the shades in this collection are totally unique, I really like them all. Application for each shade was fantastic, and most of them were 2 coaters.
What I love about Color Club is their polishes are extremely well made and super affordable. For the price of 1 high-end polish, you can get a 7 piece set from any of their collections! Or you can pick and choose. You can buy Untamed Luxury individually at Victoria Nail Supply HERE, each bottle is only $2.25! So cheap. Transdesign also sells the sets and indivudual bottles HERE.
